The Society is working to raise the educational standards, the social welfare and health of students at the Hope Academy in Makindu, Kenya by investing in capital projects to aid the long term sustainability of the Academy.
The Academy is located about 104 miles (170km) from Nairobi on the main Nairobi to Mombasa Road.
15 staff cater for the needs of 110 mainly orphaned children of primary school age.
High rates of HIV infection and the lack of employment opportunities has resulted in many children being orphaned and abandoned.
Currently the Boys sleep in a classroom. They sleep two a bed, have no privacy or personal space.
The Society aims to fund and construct a purpose a built dormitory to house the boys at the Academy.
