Established in 2004, and registered as a charity since 2008, the trust’s initial objective was to raise educational aspirations for socially disadvantaged families with the establishment of a primary school in Slough.
The Society now aims to raise money for good causes and to promote golfing within its membership whilst participating in great social events.
It encourages its members to improve their golf and to learn the official rules. Members are further encouraged to familiarise themselves with golf etiquette and to play an active role in the wider golfing fraternity.
Our members span all ages and standards from single handicappers to complete beginners. Society competitions are held through out the country and are set up to encourage golfers of all levels to participate. Players are handicapped to level the playing field.
We host several annual competitions including a Vasakhi Cup and Diwali competition. We also arrange a number of social activities where members can discuss matters away from golf courses.
The society has raised funds from its members and sponsors for many worthwhile causes including: humanitarian relief projects and support for local charities such as the homeless service in Slough and Age Concern as well as sponsoring eye camps in developing countries. In addition, the society takes a keen interest in promoting the game to younger members and provides introductory lessons as well as sponsoring young golfers in the UK and Kenya.

Brilliant Day
Just a short note to once again thank you and your colleagues for a brilliant day and evening yesterday. Apart from the weather it has to be one of the best golf events I have been to and your Sikh hospitality and generosity is second to none. I look forward to retaining our construction title in future events and will win the putting competition next time!

Amazing Supporters
The Sikh Golf Society of Great Britain have been amazing supporters of Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice, raising £6000 towards our vital services. Their support means that our care team can provide support to four families for a whole year, making a huge difference to these families’ lives. The specialist care provided by our care team helps families stay at home together for as long as possible, sharing valuable memories and family time.

Generous
We would really like to thank the Sikh Golf Society of Great Britain for their very generous donation. We’ve used this donation to buy specialist achiever beds so our most disabled students can access learning from a comfortable position. We can immediately see a difference in the way in which they’re able to engage in lessons, the joy on their faces and their communication improving.

You have been a Rock
Aadam has secured a scholarship in the USA at Midland College in Texas, where he is due to take an Associate Degree programme. He has also been selected to represent their golf team. It has been a long journey for Aadam and our family. From the very first day he picked up a golf club, our aim was to get an education scholarship in USA. With the blessing of Allah and support from friends and family we have achieved our first goal. I am grateful to the Sikh Golf Society for their help and support. You have been a rock for Aadam!
